PDO Thread Lift

PDO Threads: The Non-Surgical Face Lift.

PDO Thread Lift is a treatment that lifts and repositions dropped or sagging tissues using threads made of polydioxanone. The thread is introduced deep into the layer of the skin, provides instant skin lifting through mechanical effects, and skin tightening by repositioning tissues.

This non-surgical facelift, uses dissolvable sutures  to produce a visible “lift” to your skin.

The body will naturally dissolve the threads while simultaneously stimulating collagen and elastin production. The time it takes for the thread to fully disappear will depend on the thread used.

Lifting threads are designed to take 6 months to complete this process, and smooth threads are designed to take 3-4 months to reach completion.

PDO thread treatments are safe, and the side effects are generally very mild. In addition, the lifted facial contours can remain for up to two years due to cellular rejuvenation effects.

PDO Thread FAQ's

  • What Are PDO Threads?

Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are thinner-than-hair medical grade absorbable threads that lift and tighten sagging skin tissues. These threads are implanted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin using small needles or cannulas. Once the threads are inserted, the skin looks rejuvenated, filled and lifted.

  • How Long Is The Procedure?

This depends on the type of thread treatment and how large the area.

For example:  Smuth threads for collagen building inder eyes is about 20 minutes while a combo Mid- face, jawline and neck lift will take 1.5 hrs.

  • Is There Any Downtime With The Procedure

The recovery time is quick. Most people who get this procedure done return to their normal activities after a day. Minor inflammation and bruising may occur in the first few days, but they usually resolve after a week.

  • How Long Does The Treatment Last?

The PDO threads dissolve after six to nine months, but their effects can last up to two years, thanks to the production of collagen.
